The Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) will offer a Mariner's First Aid & CPR/AED class in Sitka, Alaska on April 17, 2021, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at N.S.R.A.A., 1308 Sawmill Creek Road. Instructor Rob Emley will cover CPR & automatic external defibrillators (AED); treatment of choking; medical emergencies; trauma; environmental hazards; patient assessment; medical communications; drowning & hypothermia; and common fishing injuries. Attendees will receive a U.S. Coast Guard accepted, two-year certificate issued by the American Safety & Health Institute. Participants must wear a cloth face mask and comply with other class procedures for reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
